The Kendu Bay Hub is a community-anchored digital learning center serving residents of Kendu Bay and surrounding villages in Homa Bay County.

Our curriculum is benchmarked to global digital competency frameworks, including the UNESCO ICT Competency Framework and the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards, ensuring learners gain skills aligned with international best practices.

Through public-private partnership, the hub connects underserved communities to practical digital and economic opportunity.

Kendu Bay Hub Story

In many parts of Homa Bay County, access to structured ICT education and emerging technology exposure remains limited. For many residents of Kendu Bay and surrounding villages, digital tools are present in theory—but not always accessible in practice.

The Kendu Bay Hub was established to close that last-mile access gap.

Located at Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Kendu Bay, the hub was created in partnership with local leadership to provide free, structured training in ICT, AI awareness, and entrepreneurship. The goal was simple but urgent: ensure that geography does not determine opportunity.

What began as a commitment to introduce foundational digital skills has grown into a community-centered learning space where residents build practical capabilities for employment, business, and lifelong learning.
